ISR Internationale Schule am Rhein in Neuss was initiated by the County of Neuss, the City of Neuss, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Central and Lower Rhine regions and the international business community in the Düsseldorf-Cologne-Neuss area. International corporations and parents are its partners.

The initiators group chose unique organizational and financial models for the school, a GmbH (limited shareholders company) which is a legal German corporation.
